3 bedroom terraced house for sale

Fernleigh Avenue, Manchester

Sold STC £145,000

Property Description

Full description

VENDOR COMMENTS: We have lived at number 30 Fernleigh for nearly 23 years. It has always been a quiet and friendly street and was further improved when trees were planted over ten years ago. The alley ways were also gated, which means the avenue now has a cul-de-sac quality. We brought our children up here, and they benefited from having many green spaces within five minutes walk away. Highfield country park is a wonderful place for walking and the parks on Manor Road, Cringle Fields and Chapel Street all have playgrounds for young children. The Fallowfield Loop (shared walking and cycle path) is a few minutes away and connects Levenshulme to Chorlton one way, and to Debdale Park and reservoir the other. We are near the bus and train routes into Manchester and Stockport and great cafés such as Trove and the Buttery at POD.
The house has undergone significant changes since we bought it. We had a major overhaul to maximize space 4 years ago. The double sized loft room has a dormer window and modern en-suite shower room; and the family bathroom on the first floor was remodelled and updated with a new modern suite. The house now has patio doors in the back reception room and the kitchen; as well as an opening between the two rooms which allows light to flood in. The garden has many mature plants which make it a secluded and private space, and further extends the living space by adding an outdoor room. The house was also rewired and all the walls and ceilings were re-skimmed, an integrated smoke alarm was fitted and new wooden flooring laid downstairs.
The neighbours are friendly and helpful, and will water plants, feed cats or take in parcels while you are away! It has been a lovely street to live on, and I hope it will prove to be a happy home for its new owner.

Agents Comments - In 10 years of being an Estate Agent I have never been so impressed walking into a property than I did when I walked into 30 Fernleigh Avenue, The attention to detail when refurbishing and extending this originally two bedroom, one bathroom property into a spacious three bedroom, family bathroom and en-suite shower room is just stunning. It doesn't just stop with the extension, the downstairs has been opened up and flows through with double doors leading into the garden from the lounge make the living space light and airy. Throughout the property there is double glazing and central heating. Viewing is highly recommended.
