This property has served as a family home for many years; it would equally suit as a weekend retreat or other accommodation requiring lots of space and large bedrooms. It has the feeling of being in the heart of the countryside, yet is only a 10 minute walk from the town and Shanklin or Lake beaches. I have regularly commuted to Portsmouth whilst at University and also teaching in Portsmouth schools for a total of 6 years. The journey took me under an hour from Shanklin to Milton Cross by car, hovercraft and bus from Southsea. The buses travel all over the island from Shanklin and the train station takes 20 minutes from Shanklin into Ryde. The roof was replaced 5 years ago and the kitchen was refitted 4 years ago to a high standard with integral dishwasher and tumble dryer; wooden floors were laid at the same time.
