3 bedroom semi-detached house for sale

Park Vista, London, SE10

Sold STC £999,500

Property Description

Full description

Tenure: Freehold

Set within the Greenwich Park Conservation Area, this wonderful three-bedroom mid-century townhouse sits on a quiet residential street with views over Greenwich Park. Built in 1958, the house was designed by architect Ray Smith.

Set over three floors, the open-plan living space occupies the first floor with the three bedrooms on the level above. The ground floor has a study, separate WC, utility room with access to the paved garden, and an integrated garage.

The house is in lovely original condition, with wooden floors, wood-panelled ceilings and some exposed brick walls. The backbone of the design, connecting the three floors, is a striking open-tread spiral staircase.

Large floor-to-ceiling windows in the main living space and front bedrooms give a fantastic view of Greenwich Park across the boating pond. Pedestrian access to the park itself is at either end of the short road.

The house is very well located at the north end of Greenwich Park, next to the National Maritime Museum and within a ten-minute walk to the centre of Greenwich. The pretty old town, famous for its maritime history, has an excellent selection of restaurants, pubs and shops, as well as a Picturehouse and a theatre. The Old Royal Naval College, designed by Sir Christopher Wren in the 18th century, hosts a popular programme of events in the gardens, including concerts, open-air theatre and a jazz festival.

The closest station is Maze Hill, just a few minutes’ walk, running Southeastern services to London Canon Street in under 20 minutes. There is an Underground station at North Greenwich (Jubilee Line) and both Greenwich Station and Cutty Sark are on the DLR, running services to Canary Wharf. The Thames Clipper can be boarded from Greenwich Pier and runs services to Westminster in one direction and the O2 arena in the other.
