History
Rev J W R Boyer curate of Quorn from 1799 until 1832 lived at The Croft. The house was then passed to a succession of doctors including Dr Samuel Harris, his son and then Dr James Arthur Unitt who all conducted their practice from the house. Like many General Practioners at the beginning of the 20th Century Dr Unitt (1860 ? 1949) made his round in a horse-drawn trap being driven by a groom who wore a smart livery and top hat. Dr Unitt took an active part in the life of Quorn and his concern was commemorated in the road that bears his name, just off Wood Lane within the village. The footway visible in the old photo was made from granite setts probably quarried in the Parish. The metal railing also visible were probably removed during the First World War for munitions.

Ground Floor
An original six panelled door with glazed fan light opens into a grand entrance hall that features an original staircase that rises to all floors, tiled floor and a rear hallway with characterful flagstone floor extends towards the rear garden. Three elegant reception rooms, all with high ceilings lead from the hallway and are presented in a traditional style. The drawing room has two large multi pane windows with original shutters and an open fire with Carrara marble surround. To the rear of the property is a large purpose built Victorian billiard room with full sized table, tall vaulted ceiling with Victorian skylight, built-in oak seating, wood panelling and period fireplace. The billiard room has the wow factor and offers the perfect space for relaxing and entertaining in style, or could be re-purposed for instance to create a new family kitchen (subject to the necessary approvals). The dining room is large, has retained original built-in cupboard and opens into the...

The master bedroom enjoys a front aspect and features a period fireplace, two multi pane windows and fitted wardrobes.
