Full description

Glenshee is a lovely stone built property located in the heart of Golspie and offers spacious family accommodation over two floors to include: entrance hall, lounge, sitting room, family kitchen, utility room, conservatory and two bedrooms, both with en suites on the ground floor. The first floor comprises of: 3 en suite bedrooms, family bathroom and one additional bedroom. The property has been maintained to a high level while retaining many of the original features. The property has the potential for use as a Bed And Breakfast and has been used as a Bed and Breakfast previously by the current owners very successfully. Externally, there is an outbuilding with plumbing and electricity, a large gravelled drive area to the front with a further grassed area in front. There is also a seating area to the side of the property. The seller has made a "you tube video" of Golspie that he wishes buyers to be made aware of that details the many attractions of Golspie.

Golspie is an attractive town with a small harbour and fine beaches in a beautiful area of the Highlands. The area is steeped in history with the Sutherland Estate being one of the largest in Scotland with its centre at Dunrobin Castle. The original castle dates from the 13th century and in 1840 it was extensively remodelled by Sir Charles Barrie who designed the House of Commons in London. The area offers ample opportunity for recreational activities to include: hill walking, mountaineering, fishing the local rivers and lochs, water sports on the Moray Firth, a number of excellent golf courses and the popular Highland Wildcat mountain biking trials. Golspie has a good range of facilities with a variety of shops, bank and post office, primary and secondary schools, railway station, regular bus service to Inverness and Wick and good road connections via the A9. It also benefits from having an updated swimming pool and health club, a cottage hospital, doctors surgery, dentist and optician. Inverness the capital of the Highlands is approximately 50 miles distant by road and offers shopping centre with theatre, cinema and social facilities. Inverness Airport is approximately 65 miles distant and offers worldwide connections.

From Inverness go North on the A9 crossing the Kessock, Cromarty and Dornoch Bridges. When entering Golspie the property is located on the right hand side on Station Road shortly after the station.
