I viewed several flats in East Dulwich before this one but as soon as I walked through the door the views and the light just hit me (and I saw it in December!). I liked the layout and a separate kitchen was what I wanted, although it is still a sociable place to cook if I keep the door open I can chat to my dinner guests! However, it can easily be made into an open plan area if that is your preference. Having a spare occasional guest bedroom is ideal for when people visit and much better than a sofa bed which I’ve used in the past. Although again there is scope to use this space to be used differently if you are not looking for an extra bedroom, eg it could be used as an office or even to extend the kitchen. The location could not be better either, at the time I bought it I used East Dulwich station but as I now travel to Farringdon I use Peckham Rye. Another big advantage was having Lordship Lane just around the corner. The flat itself needed some work doing to it but these things are easy to change. The things you cannot change are the location, views and light! I love sitting at my dining table and watching the dog walkers on Goose Green, the family picnics, kids having fun etc. Oh, I must’t forget the parakeets living in the tree opposite!! I’ve lived here for 16 years and been very happy but I’m now at a different stage in life and I’m ready to move on. I know the new owner will be as happy as I have been.
