From Matlock, Crown Square, take the A6 north to Darley Dale. Just beyond The Grouse Inn, turn right into Whitworth Road. Follow Whitworth Road and continue until the road begins to descend into Northwood Lane. As the road descends, the road forks, take the left hand fork and Northwood House can be seen at the first turn to the right.

Alternatively, from Bakewell, take the A6 towards Matlock and on the outskirts of Darley Dale take the first left just past the Darley Dale sign onto Northwood Lane. Follow the road nearly to the top and just before the road narrows the property will be seen off the main thoroughfare set back on the left hand side.
