This Grade 2* listed terraced cottage oozes character and charm. As you drive into Bletchingley High Street you will be immediately impressed with how beautiful this little village is. Lined with traditional and historic buildings on either side of the road, housing local pubs, cafes and village shops. A short drive away you also have Bletchingley golf course.
As you make your way inside, you enter into the spacious living room and will instantly notice the charming period features throughout, with wooden beams surrounding the walls and ceilings, two box bay windows and a handsome open fireplace.
A back door leads you out into your own private and low maintenance court yard garden, perfect on a summer's afternoon with a glass of bubbles without having to worry about the gardening. At the back of the garden is a handy, detached annexe with it's own bathroom facility. For those of you who work from home this would make a great study, or even a bedroom for guests to stay in when they come to visit! Next to the annexe there is a gate which has access to a pathway that leads you to Church walk or back round to the front of the property.
As you make your way downstairs to the lower ground floor this leads you into the separate kitchen/breakfast room. With traditional cream fitted cupboards, a dark granite worktop and fully fitted appliances. The brick exposed original oven fireplace adds a stunning feature to the room.
Making your way up to the first floor you have two generous sized bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite, and a main family bathroom. Up on the second floor is a further double bedroom with vaulted ceilings and fitted wardrobes.
The local area is served by an excellent selection of highly regarded state and private schools for all age ranges. For those of you that need to commute to work every day the M25 and Redhill train station is only a short drive away.
"I love the lifestyle a village such as Bletchingley can offer. From the friendly village stores to the cosy pubs offering the perfect pint or home cooked roasts, ideal for those lazy weekends. Im also all too easily smitten by character home and this one just oozes it.
They just dont make homes like this today."
"When I first started looking for a property 2 years ago, I knew Bletchingley village was where I wanted to be. Not only is it conveniently located for my job, but the village itself is beautiful and easily accessible to the M25 and Nutfield and Redhill train station, of which has frequently running trains taking you into London Bridge and London Victoria. I immediately loved the character and charm throughout and I found a lot of older houses lack space and storage inside, however this house has plenty! A few years ago the Bletchingley Arms was renovated and I would highly recommend going there for dinner or lunch! There are pods in the garden where you can sit down and enjoy a drink or a meal, they are great fun and the perfect place to dine on a summer's afternoon."
