Detailed Planning Consent was granted on the 20th January 2014 for the erection of a modern detached three bedroom house and a large outbuilding (reference 13/02754/PP) towards the eastern boundary of the field. A new access road has been constructed into the field from the public road, and therefore it is considered that a 'meaningful start' has been made and the consent will be valid for all time coming.

The wooded area to the east of the plot and part of the Allt Ciche Ravine are included within the larger Torrisdale Cliff Site of Special Scientific Interest. The whole designated site supports one of the largest remaining fragments of semi-natural ash and elm woodland in Kintyre. The wood can be classed as being of 'ancient' origin since it has appeared on all of the maps of the area published since 1750. A stone barn is located close to the old entrance to the field.

A path from the grazing land leads down to the foreshore through the woodland. The shore comprises an area of shingle and flat coastal grassland, ideal for the siting of a boathouse. Included in the sale is the foreshore down to low tide.
