Chiddingstone has its own primary school (rated "outstanding" by Ofsted in 2015). There are also primary schools in nearby Hever, Leigh and Penshurst. The following well regarding independent / preparatory schools are also nearby: Lingfield Notre Dame, Brambletye School (East Grinstead), Michael Hall Steiner School (Forest Row), Holmewood House (Langton Green), and several in Sevenoaks. Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge both have excellent boys and girls grammar schools.
