The land forms part of a larger site which was subject to a pre-application enquiry. This was submitted to the Local Planning Authority, Thanet District Council on 16th August 2016. With this in mind the report states that ‘...there is likely to be limited visual harm resulting from the proposed development.’ and ‘As such the proposed development would appear comprehensive and in keeping with the pattern of development in the area’.
Furthermore the Local Planning Authority state ‘the proposed development appears to be an adequate distance from the nearest neighbouring residential properties and, therefore, the impact upon neighbouring light and outlook is likely to be acceptable’.
The report concludes ‘On balance, the need for housing is considered to outweigh the impact upon the countryside in this instance’.
