From Kennacraig, 6 miles away, ferries can be taken to Islay and onwards to other western isles, and from Tayinloan to Gigha.

World-class sailing is available in Loch Fyne and the Clyde Estuary, with marinas at Tarbert (whose regatta week is second only to Cowes in the UK) Portavadie, Crinnan, Ardfern and Craobh Haven and through the Crinnan Canal into the Hebridian waters.
