Full description

Floyer Hall is an impressive four bedroom detached family residence steeped in Local history.

Built in 1860 Floyer Hall was used as the village school until 1893 from whence it was used for several purposes one of them being the Sunday evening services, and Sunday school which continued to be held there until 1948. In 1948 Mrs. M. C. Benthall gave it to the parish, and it was named the Floyer Hall after her husband. Floyer Hall was then used as a village hall by the parish for many years until the property was professionally converted into a residential dwelling in the 2000's and has been well maintained since then.

There are many beautiful country walks to be had in the area. The World Heritage Site and Conservation area of Ironbridge Gorge is just approximately a 15 minute walk away where many local amenities can be found such as a chemists, butchers, post office and many bars and eateries. The high street of Broseley is about of equal distance offering more local amenities and convenience.
Floyer Hall is also in the catchment area for the William Brooks School.

On entering through the front door there is a large porch way leading from one side into a utility area and then the family bathroom. Walking straight through the porch you are greeted by the most impressive, high ceiling and open plan living room and dining area which is heated by an efficient and effective log burner. From the dining section of the room, a door leads into the kitchen which has space for a range cooker as well as high quality timber kitchen units. A hall way from the main living space leads to two double bedrooms both enjoying beautiful elevated countryside views. The bigger of the two rooms has an en-suite shower room. On this level there is also a separate w/c. A set of stairs then lead up to two further double bedrooms and a large storage/wardrobe area from the landing. One of these bedrooms is currently used as an office.

The property is double glazed with bespoke made to measure units and the central heating is oil fired.

Outside to the front of the property is a gated driveway, coal/wood shelter and a small storage outbuilding both part of the original school. To the rear is an extensively stocked garden with a turfed area in the middle.

Directions From the Ironbridge Office follow Waterloo Street crossing over the New Free Bridge, turn right at the hairpin bend into Ladywood and follow this road through Benthall Woods and at the T junction at the end of Bridge Road, turn right. Approximately 150 yards on the right, turn right into Floyer Lane where the property can be identified by our "For Sale" board. Sat-Nav - TF12 5RW
