DIRECTIONS
For sat nav please use CA6 6JA. There are several potential routes from Brampton or Longtown as shown on the Location Plans but when travelling from Junction 44 of the M6 at Carlisle, follow the A7 north and take a right turning at Blackford towards Kirklinton. Follow this road to a "T" junction on the A6071 and turn right and next left to Roadhead and Kirklinton. At the next two "T" junctions turn left and after crossing the River Lyne, Shankhill will be seen on your left before the school.


PLANNING
Outline planning consent has been obtained dated 30th September 2016 for "part demolition of existing dwelling and erection of a replacement dwelling and garage". Indicative location and house type plans are attached to the consent which indicates the potential for a 4 bedroom detached dwelling with two bathrooms on the first floor plus kitchen, lounge, utility, W.C. and dining room on the ground floor. The proposals include for the partial demolition of the former school house at the front of the site to create a detached garage. As the plans are indicative there is potential to create an alternative style house with a different layout. The plot boundaries are shown edged red and coloured pink on the Site Plan. It is believed that the southern boundary will be the responsibility of the site owner to erect and maintain together with the roadside boundary.
