Reception rooms: 1/2
Area: 903 sq ft ; 83.9 sq m
Outside: Walled garden
Why you’ll like it:
Hanover is popular with young professionals and families alike as it provides affordable, spacious homes in a social community, which is also within walking distance of the city, shops, parks and the beach. This spacious three storey red brick house has plenty of kerb appeal and is within a small cul de sac, which is hard to find within this area.
Unusually bright thanks to windows in all of the landing walls ahead, the hallway is inviting and has wood flooring, which is painted white and continues through into the spacious room to your left, where there is a wardrobe and shelving on either side of the chimney breast where you could put in a feature fireplace if you so wished. With a high ceiling and big window, the room would make a very comfortable living room but as it is usually used as a double bedroom in Hanover houses, next door is a bathroom, far bigger than you expect, with a retro feel - but all is present and correct including a shower above the bath.
Downstairs, the fabulous family room and kitchen is far brighter than usual as the south wall is nearly all window and there is another large window in the far wall, looking over the garden. The gas fire rests on an attractive marble hearth and at the other end of the room, the kitchen is beautifully designed; the cream units were chosen to keep the room light with wall units only running along one side to add to the feeling of space, whilst the smooth honey coloured surfaces give a sophisticated feel. The gas hob and electric oven are integrated for you and there is plumbing for a machine and space for a tall fridge freezer under the stairs. Although partly lower ground at the front, at the back, a door leads out to a lean- to with a perspex roof and a guest cloakroom on one side and a door into the garden which, unusually for hilly Hanover, is level and has plenty of space for al fresco dining.
Upstairs is a broad landing with access to the attic and which leads to the two airy double bedrooms on this floor. The room at the back looks over gardens and at the front, the master bedroom is larger as it spreads over the hallway beneath. Fitted wardrobes are in place and there are two big windows bringing in lots of light and the house is uniquely placed within the terrace as it faces a driveway and gardens, which makes this bedroom nice and private too.
Bear in mind:
Although there is plenty of room as it is, many local houses have extended up into the attic space and there is the lean- to to play with as well.
“It is friendly and quiet here, but we can be in the city or on the beach in minutes”
Where it is:
Shops: North Lanes 10 minute walk
Train Station: Brighton mainline 14 minutes by bus

Like Rome, Brighton is built on hills, and Hanover is a lively incline from the City which stretches up from the North Laines to the Queen’s Park, popular with young professionals and families due to its accessibility to the City and popular schools. Its proximity to the mainline station and the A23/27 makes this home a viable proposition for those needing fast links to the Airports and London on a daily, or weekly basis.
