Why you’ll like it:


The development is found at the bottom of Lyndhurst Road, and is surrounded by greenery. It is easy to park, and the flats are clearly numbered so are easy to locate. You climb the open stairs to the first floor and your door is just to the right. This opens into a small hallway where you have a line of sight right through the apartment to the leafy views from the balcony. First however, the kitchen is to the left, and this forms an L shape with fitted units in light wood. It is open to the living room via a wide hatch so you can chat to the family or guests as you cook, and it allows natural light to flow through the flat from the south too. The appliances are all free standing so there’s space and plumbing for a washing machine, a tumble dryer, a tall fridge freezer and an electric cooker, and whilst this kitchen is fine as it is, it could be modernised fairly easily to add value.


Bedroom two is opposite, and has been recently redecorated with a cityscape feature wall in black and silver, and a birch effect wooden floor has been laid. It is a good size double, with space for bedroom furniture, and the bathroom is conveniently next door. This is an internal room, but it is mainly tiled in white which lifts the space, and the monochrome mosaic border adds interest. There is an electric shower over the bath, and the light switch automatically starts the air vent to avoid condensation.


The generous living room is at the far end of the flat, and there is ample space in here for a corner sofa as well as a dining table and chairs by the hatch to the kitchen. The south wall feels almost entirely glazed and leads out to the balcony which has space enough for a small table and chairs to sit out in the warmer months. The trains do trundle by on occasion, but being so close to the station they are slow, and the benefits for commuters are great.


The second bedroom is accessed from the living room, and is an equal size to the other, so is great for sharers, although this has a simpler decor, and has the same orientation as the living room.
