The well-known 140ft high Faringdon Folly lies to the east of the town and was constructed for the eccentric Lord Berners in the mid '30s. The nearby A420 links the town to the dreaming spires of Oxford and the retail and commercial centre of Swindon with half hourly bus services to both. Nearest mainline services to London Paddington from Swindon (c.13 miles - journey time to London 62 minutes) and Didcot Parkway (c 20 miles - journey time c 44 minutes).
