This house offers an enviable location where, on the one hand, you have peace and quiet yet, on the other, the hustle and bustle of the Jewellery Quarter & City Centre with its array of shops, bars and restaurants are within such easy reach. For commuters, Jewellery Quarter train station is close by.
As soon as you step through the hallway you will get a feeling of space that will run throughout the property. The hallway is a really handy area for you to discard your coats and kick off your shoes after a long, hard day at work. The feeling of space continues when you step into the lounge which is large enough for the biggest of settees and is flooded with natural light. The kitchen area is sleek and modern and has ample cupboard space for all your condiments and pots and pans. Upstairs, the bedrooms are both doubles with the rear bedroom having views over looking the canal and the bathroom has a tub which will allow for a relaxing soak in the evening with shower over for when you need to "get up and go" in the morning. There is also a handy downstairs cloakroom for your guests when they come calling and will certainly help with the morning rush. It is the garden that is the real "show stopper" here. There's a patio area which basks in the sun for most of the day making it perfect for barbecues or winding down with a glass of wine after work. There is also plenty of lawn area for the little ones to run around and play. If you are worried about parking, don't be as there is a drive and ample on road parking.
We could go on and on, but to fully appreciate this superb home an internal viewing will be required. We look forward to your call.
WHAT THE OWNER SAYS:
"I moved from the Black Country and into this home from new when the house was built in 2005 and have spent 11 happy years living in Hockley. For me, the location was key, close to friends, easy access to local transport, 15 minute walk into the Jewellery Quarter and no more than 5 or 10 minutes in a taxi to get into the City. Since living here I have extended the driveway to allow 2 medium sized cars to park off road and also added a patio and decking area to the rear garden. The South Easterly facing garden catches the sun all day and is a sun trap throughout the summer months. Inside, the house is decorated in a clean, crisp and modern fashion, with plenty of storage downstairs and with added built in wardrobe space within the master bedroom. From the second bedroom, you get the added extra of the view over the 'Birmingham Canal Old Line', which was absolutely a selling point when I originally purchased the house. No houses overlooking, so you really do feel the peace and quiet! The house is just far enough to be out of the hustle and bustle of the City to relax after a hard days work, but close enough to be able to pop in for the shops, bars and restaurants."
