Full description

Planning: Detailed planning permission was granted on appeal on 4th November 2015 for the erection of 2 detached single storey dwellings, subject to various conditions.
The two external images of the prospective properties [one from the front, the other from the rear] are computer generated and are therefore an impression of the finished homes.
Location: Fretherne is a hamlet, on a bend in the River Severn and close to Saul and Frampton on Severn, which lies around 15 miles south west of Cheltenham, around 9 miles south west of Gloucester and around 8 miles west of Stroud. The beautiful local church [St Mary the Virgin] is known as Gloucestershire's mini cathedral and dates back around 700 years. The Gloucester and Sharpness Canal lies to the west.
The site itself, mainly level, is open grassland at the moment
Design: These 336.4 sqm/3621 sqft [measured on CAD and supplied by architect] homes have been designed specifically in order to achieve maximum sustainability. There are substantial insulation levels and a heat store, in conjunction with a heat recovery system, to regulate comfort levels. Through these measures, the buildings have been designed to be self- sufficient in maintaining comfort levels though there is designed to be a backup system of underfloor heating. There is provision for hot water via solar panels to the green roof and a ground sourced heat pump. Electrical requirements will primarily be sourced from a roof photovoltaic system. There is planned to be, via the green energy produced, a home charging point for a small electrical car.
Proposed materials, in addition to the green living roof, include white rendered walls with dark grey aluminium triple glazed windows and matching extruded aluminium rainwater goods, all of a simple design and detailing synonymous with modern design and eco credentials.
Method of Sale: The property is For Sale by way of Informal Tender. Unconditional offers are invited to be submitted, either by post to Andrews Land and New Homes, 176 Bath Road, Leckhampton, Cheltenham GL53 7NF [marked: Fretherne] or via email to rstyles@andrewsonline.co.uk. These to be received by 12 noon on Friday 2nd December 2016. Our client does not undertake to accept the highest offer, or any offer. Please make it clear whether your bid is for one of the building plots [and which one] or both. Price Guides: Both building plots: Offers in excess of 600,000. Single building plot: Offers in excess of 300,000.
