Why you’ll like it:

These tall townhouses were built in the early 19th century as part of the Brunswick Estate, when Brighton had suddenly become one of the most popular places to live in the UK after the Prince Regent took up residence here in The Royal Pavilion. This building has the classic curved facade of the period, and is uniform in cream like the iconic houses lining the promenade. This apartment resides on the ground floor and is accessed down a short communal hallway.

Once inside, you are welcomed into a short entrance hall where the generous living room is first on the left. The high ceilings and beautiful curved bow sash windows give the room an air of grandeur and the room is filled with light from the east. There is ample space in here for a dining table as well as comfortable sofas, and the room is warmed during the cooler months by a coal effect electric fire.

The bathroom is next, and this is conveniently next door to bedroom two. It is an internal room, but it is well ventilated with soothing low lighting for a relaxing bathe. It also has a shower over the bath for busier mornings, and whilst it is mainly fresh in white, it has a mosaic tiled border in iridescent blue and turquoise.

Bedroom two is currently set up as a child’s bedroom, including a cabin bed with a desk and seating below. This can easily be dismantled, and the room would fit a double bed, or could be a tranquil home office as it faces the rear of the building. The ceiling is also high in here which has afforded the space for a mezzanine storage area which is a sizable space, and a godsend for apartment living.

The kitchen is modern with white gloss units and warm wood flooring, and the stainless steel door handles complement the integrated oven, gas hob and sink. The fridge is also integrated below the counter, but the washing machine is freestanding, and whilst this is a compact room, it is well designed with plenty of work space for even the keenest cook.

The master bedroom is accessed down a short corridor, tucked away from the main living area for a peaceful night’s sleep. There is space for a king size bed as well as freestanding pieces of bedroom furniture, and the front wall has a bold designer wall paper with a floral print adding interest.

This flat is immediately welcoming, and being well presented but with the potential to put your own stamp on it, it is sure to be snapped up.

Bear in mind:

Whilst this flat has no outside space of its own, you have the beach, Hove Lawns and St Anne’s Well Gardens at your disposal for sunbathing, exercising, picnics and social gatherings, so you don’t feel you are missing out.
