Located at the end of the very beautiful Vale of Pewsey, Chirton is a sought after small village tucked beneath the magnificent Salisbury Plain where riding, cycling and walking are all well provided for. The Millstream, about a mile away, is a popular foodie pub and the Old Potato Yard complex, complete with a superb farm shop, hairdresser, antiques shop, Pilates studio and cafe is about the same distance away on the other side of the main road.

The nearby market town of Devizes is about four miles away and has several supermarkets including Sainsburys and M and S Food, independent shops, cafes and restaurants as well as a cinema, leisure centre and theatre. Pewsey, where there is a mainline railway station (Paddington around 70 minutes) is around nine miles to the east and Chippenham, slightly further to the west offers its own mainline railway station (Paddington around one hour). Schooling, in addition to the local primary in the village, can be found at Market Lavington for secondary students, and in the private sector there are schools at Dauntsey's, Marlborough College and St Margaret's and St Mary's, Calne.

From Devizes leave on the A342 Nursteed Road in the direction of Andover. After around three miles, immediately after a small development of modern houses, turn left at the sign post for Chirton, Marden and Patney. Continue through the village, past the primary school on the left and around the sharp bend. At the next sharp left hand bend, take the small lane to the right and continue up this adopted track to the Old Malthouse which will be found on the left at the end.
