Standburn is located on the B825 and is reached via the Bowhouse Roundabout on the A801 which is the link road between the M9 and M8. The village is within easy reach of the M9 for Stirling, Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Forth Road Bridge. The nearest rail links are at Polmont and Brightons Station (3+ miles) with trains to Glasgow and Edinburgh. The nearby towns of Falkirk, Bathgate and Linlithgow provide access for local shops, supermarkets and leisure facilities. A former mining community, Standburn is in a quiet rural area and is served by its own Primary school.
