Full descriptionPlots 1 & 2, Achamore - Two, delightful neighbouring plots, situated above the village of Bunessan on the Island of Mull, each with planning permission in principle for a dwelling house. £50,000 per plot.
Overview: - Close to Achamore Farm, the two neighbouring plots lie in a most delightful, secluded hamlet of detached houses close to Bunessan, one of two villages on the Ross of Mull. Plot 1 (ref 13/01720/PPP) which is 0.32 acres and plot 2 (ref 13/01721/PPP), 0.37 acres offer an unspoilt, tranquil location from which to enjoy far reaching views over open countryside. Each plot has planning permission for a house but the owner is willing to consider offers should someone want to acquire the site as a whole. The plots enjoy a south facing aspect to the front and offer an attractive location in an elevated position above Bunessan. The plots are being offered with mains water and electricity connections close by. Planning permission includes for a new septic tank and soakaway - the cost of which will be shared between the two sites. Access to the plots will be from the small road that runs to the North of the site which has an existing opening via a metal gate. The cost of creating the new access will be shared between the buyers. Details of the planning consents are available via Argyll and Bute Council's website at www.argyll-bute.gov.uk or from West Property.
Location: - The village of Bunessan, which has a population of approximately 300, is serviced by a Spa shop, hotel, post office and a restaurant/caf. The primary school for the Ross of Mull is also based in the village. Bunessan is a thriving fishing village and is famous for its lobsters which come from nearby Loch Scridain. The village lies 7 miles from Fionnphort to the West where it is possible to take a ferry to the famous island of Iona. Craignure lies 29 miles to the East and is the terminal for the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry which runs a regular service throughout the year to the attractive town of Oban with its wide range of shops and amenities.
Directions: - On leaving Craignure, follow signs for Bunessen and Fionnphort. Continue along this road until you enter the village of Bunessan. Take the road to the left before the Argyll Arms and carry along (do not take the turning to Uisken) until you come to the plots on the left hand side. The site is indicated by the For Sale sign.
Viewing - The plots can be viewed at any time. They are marked with a For Sale board
