The tennis court was a bonus. We hosted an annual Buckland Tennis Tournament, with a nice meal in the garden. The Tournament Shield stays with the house.
We learned that the stained glass windows from St Mary the Virgin across the were stored in The Houses cellar during the 2nd World War. They are back in the Church now.
Our daughter was married at St. Mary's across the road, with post wedding champagne on the green and a reception for 150 guests the garden. Countless birthday parties, with bouncy castles etc. staged.
Great village atmosphere. Annual art and plant sale in the Village Hall. Annual picnics held on the Green. Local Morris Dancers on the 1st May. Christmas Carols to raise money for Hedley Court and other causes. The village enjoys much character and, a lot of characters."
