Full description

Tenure: Freehold

If you are looking for a charming period cottage that is tucked away yet central to a vibrant village, then this could be your perfect home.

The first thing that strikes you is the superb central position. The High Street is just around the corner, making life so easy. A short walk brings you to shops, schools, inns, a library and a mainline station, which has services which will get you to London in just around an hour.

Approach the cottage via quiet Chapel Lane with its surrounding fields and country walks - so convenient for walking the dogs at the weekend.

Once inside you will start to appreciate just how much this house has been loved. The pretty lounge has a stunning open brick fireplace. You can imagine entertaining friends and family here, guests wandering out to the garden for some air perhaps, a barbeque or brazier aglow on cooler days.

As the temperature drops, sit guests around the table whilst the cook keeps up with the conversation from the smart cottage style kitchen which, with its deep butler sink, wooden doors and worktops has character aplenty with which to fall in love.

An updated bathroom downstairs means you get two good sized double bedrooms upstairs; the back one enjoying pretty views over your courtyard garden and the rooftops beyond.

What the Owner says:

I loved this quaint little cottage as soon as I saw it. The whole feel of the house was homely and peaceful.

I preferred the layout to others I had seen; the flow works well and it’s lovely to have fresh breezes wafting through when the weather is warm.

There are good ceiling heights throughout the cottage, which is most unusual for a house of this age. I will be sorry to leave my home behind but needs must, as the family grows!
