Description

Description

A superb modern detached house nestling in a private, quiet close within walking distance of the local amenities of this highly desirable East Devon village. The Oaks was built by Heritage Homes to an exacting specification of traditional cavity wall construction and external colour washed rendering under a slate roof. The spacious and attractively planned accommodation is extremely well-appointed with excellent high quality fittings to the spacious kitchen and bathrooms. There is a large bespoke office/annex located above the detached double garage providing ideal facilities for someone wishing to work from home. Mature and pleasant landscaped grounds surround the house on three sides and there are good garaging and parking facilities to the rear.

Situation

Woodbury Parish, which includes the villages of Woodbury, Woodbury Salterton and Exton, is one of the larger parishes in Devon. It encompasses much of Woodbury Common, an outstanding area of natural beauty and enjoys a thriving community spirit rooted in the Church and Chapel, in the school and in agriculture. In days past the parish was frequented by Sir Francis Drake, and a chapel dedicated to the memory of the Drake family is situated in St Swithun's Church in the village centre. Some of the facilities of the village include two excellent public houses, a village store and post office, restaurant, doctor's surgery, nearby golf club and leisure facilities at Woodbury Park and a bus service operating between Exeter and Exmouth.

Directions

Leave Topsham via Station Road, continue out of the town via Bridge Hill, bypassing Dart's Farm and turn left at the St George & Dragon Public House. At the next roundabout take the right turn to Woodbury and continue onto the village. Pass through Woodbury via Broadway, passing the post office on the right and then turn left into Fulford Way and take the first left into Critchards. The Oaks will be located at the end of the Close.
