From M5 continue South on A38 to Exeter and Plymouth. 25 miles south of Exeter take the exit that directs you to Kingsbridge (Dartington and Staverton also appear). At the top of the slip take the left to Kingsbridge, Dartington, Totnes. Continue on to Dartington, passing the Cider Press Centre on your left. As you approach Totnes keep right and take the right turn (A381) at the traffic lights to Kingsbridge. Continue along the A381 through the villages of Harbertonford and Halwell and passing the BP garage on your left.
Look out for the left turn to East Allington and Slapton (it is on a sharp bend). Take this left turn and continue along this lane for 4.7 miles. At Buckland Cross turn left, go past Buckland Court on your left and keep following the lane as it narrows and dips down the valley. The entrance to Gara Mill and Coastal Lodges is on the left just before the bridge.
