DESCRIPTION Set in a prominent and convenient spot on Redhill with very attractive views is Linden Gate. Our vendors have been in situ for the past 17 years and have lovingly updated the property to create a beautiful and spacious family home. We believe the property dates back to the 1890's and was originally built as two cottages and then changed into the Redhill village police station complete with cells before finally being made into a family home and extended in the 1970's.

The property is deceptively spacious and retains much of the character of a house.

Redhill is a highly convenient spot for amenities and schools, with Wrington just down the road and great transport routes to both Bristol, Bath and further afield, so no problems with the commute. It is also ideal for lovers of walking, surrounded by some of the most varied beautiful countryside anyone could hope to find. We would highly recommend an early viewing. EPC rating F.

DIRECTIONS Travelling from the offices of Debbie Fortune Estate Agents' in Wrington proceed up School Road and turn right at the top into Long Lane. Continue on to Redhill to the A38, turn right, continue down the hill and Linden Gate can be found a little way down on your left hand side before the farm shop with a Debbie Fortune Estate Agents' For Sale board.

SITUATION Redhill is a highly favoured and sought after village situated in an elevated position in the beautiful North Somerset countryside. It has local facilities including church, village hall/social club and recreational field with a children's play area. More comprehensive services are available in the nearby village of Wrington, including shops, doctor, dentist, chemist, vet, church, chapel, public houses, a well supported primary school (recently awarded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted) and various clubs and societies. Secondary schooling is available at nearby Churchill Academy and Sixth Form Centre (www.churchill.n-somerset.sch.uk) which has also recently been awarded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and, in addition, benefits from a modern sports complex available to the general public. Children in the village of Redhill are currently provided with transport daily to and from Wrington Primary School. There are also schools at Bristol, Wraxall and Chew Magna. The area around is well known for its beauty and offers a variety of community pursuits within a short drive. Riding, walking, fishing, sailing and dry-skiing are just some of the activities available within a few miles. The village of Redhill is within commuting distance of the City of Bristol and the seaside town of Weston-super-Mare and there is access to the motorway network at Clevedon (junction 20) and St. Georges (junction 21). There is an international airport at Lulsgate and access to a mainline railway station at Yatton.

OUR VENDOR SAYS We loved the house the moment we saw it 17 years ago. It needed a lot of work as it had been empty for a number of years, but we liked the fact it had a history and the quirkiness of the layout. We have lovingly updated the property and will miss the stunning country views and proximity of local walks and the village pub.

WE HAVE NOTICED The views really must be seen, they are lovely. If you are looking for an immaculately presented house with period features with an easy commute to the airport or Bristol then this is the property for you. Yes there is some road noise, but this is reflected in the asking price and the pros far outweigh the cons.
