A WORD FROM THE OWNER ...
We took the flat on as a bit of a blank canvas, and renovated it completely to make it the smart but cosy place we've come to call home. We love that it’s light and airy with windows opening onto the wide open space of the reservoir and playing fields - in fact we've quite often had the pleasure of watching the sun set over the water from the comfort of the sofa! Moving to Walthamstow was one of the best decisions we have made so far. It’s such a vibrant and cosmopolitan place with everything we’ve ever wanted. Such an amazing variety of shops, restaurants and cafes, from St James Street at the bottom end of the famous High Street leading up its long market. We both work in the West End so the flat is about as well situated for travel as you can get. And the contrast is amazing when in summer after work we sometimes lie out in the peace of the shared garden. It's like being in the countryside. But the real treat is the marshes and now the Wetlands Centre, enjoyable all year round. We often like to cycle across the marshes to the canal down to Hackney Wick and Victoria Park in what seems like no time. Or if we feel like staying in the area, it's a short cycle up to the Village. The trouble is we need an extra room now! We are so sad to be leaving but will be staying in Walthamstow and will look back on our time in this flat as our happiest"
