The Story

Situated within just a short stroll of the city centre and train station, has been given a bright, contemporary finish

Life at Half Moon Yard has offered Shaun and Abbi the perfect combination – a stylish home, with a peaceful ambience, and the vibrant heart of Norwich.
Their property offers them the space to relax, entertain and spend time with their children, while also enjoying the very best of city life.
“It was the location that we first found appealing,” admits Shaun. “It is just a five-minute walk from the main shopping areas of Norwich, as well being close to the train station. There are so many amenities close by, from cafés, bars and restaurants to supermarkets. We are also just two minutes from the river and it is very easy to reach the A47.

HISTORIC NORWICH
The three-bedroom apartment is set at fourth and fifth floor level. The site of a former mill. Set at the end of King Street, overlooking leafy Bracondale, Shaun and Abbi’s apartment is the situated in the heart of historic Norwich, with its beautiful cathedral, cobbled streets and attractive Medieval buildings.
“We love to walk round Norwich , particularly at night when it looks especially beautiful,” says Abbi. “There are lots of wonderful historic areas auch as Tombland, Elm Hill and Dragon Hall, and so many places to eat and drink.”

LIFESTYLE
In more recent times, Norwich has also become known for its exceptional shopping. As well as having two under-cover shopping centres, featuring leading high street names, it has the largest, outdoor covered market in Europe and a myriad of side streets and lanes, with independent shops. There are also a number of theatres, cinemas and art galleries, as well as other leisure facilities and gyms.
“There is so much to do in the city but we are also in such a good position for getting out to the countryside, the Norfolk Broads and coast, and we are just a short distance from Whitlingham Country Park.”

COLOUR
Since moving into the property, the couple have completely refurbished it, working their way through each room, ensuring it not only functions well but also looks immaculate.
“It has a modern, neutral feel but is homely too,” says Shaun. All three bedrooms and the bathrooms are at entrance level of the apartment. Here there is also a study area that Shaun has created.
“The master bedroom has its own en suite. It also has a Juliet balcony making it a lovely room to wake up in,” says Abbi.

LIVING SPACE
There are two smaller bedrooms but each is spacious enough to take a double beds. There is also a family bathroom, with a bath/shower.
“The living area is all on the floor above,” says Shaun. “This is a large room, with plenty of space for two sofas and a dining table. The kitchen is contemporary in style and features for some comfortable seating or kitchen table.
“Leading from the living area is a covered balcony which is round,” they added.

ATTRACTIVE DEVELOPMENT
Half Moon Yard is set within an attractive riverside development. The site is gated and secure, and the apartment comes with two underground parking spaces.
“The location as a whole is very attractive and well-maintained,” says Abbi. “The décor has been finished very nicely and everyone is really friendly and really values the fact it is well-kept.”
The couple will be sad to leave their city centre life but admit it is now time to move on.
“This is a great place for anyone who wishes to be right at the heart of Norwich and to have everything they need just a short walk away,” adds Shaun.
