My uncle lived in Merstone for many years and used to own the large farm and a huge house across the road. During his time here, he employed a gardener in the 1960’s and built this bungalow for him and his wife to live in. The gardener had a wonderful life in this property and really loved the quietness, tranquillity and the location along with it’s beautiful countryside beyond. It was sad when he passed away many years back but it was also lovely that his wife continued living here until her recent years when she finally passed away. Now that the home is empty, it is ready for someone else to enjoy and we really hope the new owners will cherish this home and make it their own and love it as much as they both did for its entirety.
