Full description

The historic village of Halton is situated approximately three miles east of Lancaster along the banks of the River Lune. The village has a wealth of amenities including a doctor's surgery, chemist, butcher, shops and regular public transport links. There is also a renowned primary school and a recently renovated community centre with activities for the entire family.

This detached former bungalow does require some works of modernisation but has the room sizes, internal design and plot to be an outstanding family home. The ground floor has a welcoming entrance porch leading into an inner hallway. There is a spacious through lounge, fitted kitchen and rear porch giving access to an integral garage.

The first floor has an impressive master bedroom with a range of fitted wardrobes. There are another two well-proportioned double bedrooms and generous bathroom with three-piece coloured suite.

Externally, the property sits proudly on an attractive plot and is set back from the street by a low maintenance front garden. There is driveway parking leading to the integral single garage and a beautifully landscaped rear garden. It has a well-kept lawn, range of mature trees and plant life and a feature fish pond. The south-facing position makes the rear of the property a fabulous place to enjoy the Great British summer.

The village is increasingly popular amongst professionals and families with its straight-forward commute to Lancaster City centre and easy access to Junction 34 of the M6 Motorway. The commuter links make trips to the Lake District tempting each weekend while the cycle track along the River Lune is brilliant for those who like to keep fit.

This property is an exciting addition to the Lancaster housing market. Call our office today on 01524 842222 to arrange your viewing. You won’t be disappointed

What The Owner Says
This has been our family home for over 40 years, and many happy memories have been made. It's now time for another family to make theirs. The garden is fantastic in the summer time, and is nice and private. It's a great little village, wonderful people, nice and quiet, with local shops and services.
