Extended former railway carriage in 1/2 acre

Carriage Cottage is a former railway carriage built circa 1890's commissioned by Midland and South West Junction Railways. The carriage was primarily used for journeys between Swindon and Birmingham. Eventually the coach was condemned in October 1926 without ever carrying its GWR number 6365. From this moment in history coach number 58 was transported to Cornwall in the 1930's and positioned on the site and used as a residential dwelling. In recent years the carriage has been extended to increase the total footprint of the original carriage.
