Just a five minute drive from the sandy, surfing and dog-friendly beach at Trebarwith Strand, 1 Fern Cottages is a freshly renovated traditional end-of-terrace cottage tucked away on a quiet lane in the small pretty hamlet of Trewarmett. This cosy 2 bedroom cottage is currently a successful holiday let and could continue to be used as such or equally as a second home or permanent residence just moments from the coast.

From the by-lane, a step and door open into the cosy and comfortable dual aspect sitting room with the room arranged around the floor to ceiling stone fireplace with a wood burning stove set on a slate hearth. There is also a TV point. A door leads through to the kitchen, fitted with a range of cream coloured base units, integral electric oven and hob, inset ceramic sink and characterful low beamed ceiling. There are ceramic tiles to the floor and contrasting splashback tiles over the oak work surfaces. From the kitchen, eight narrow carpeted stairs with a rope handrail lead to the first floor off which are two light and comfortable carpeted bedrooms. The first bedroom is a double with a sloping ceiling, exposed beams, TV point and Velux window. The second is again a double with a high ceiling and exposed beams, TV point and a dual aspect with partial sea views through the trees. Completing the first floor accommodation is a family bathroom wc comprising of a small bath with shower over, basin, heated towel rail and stripped timber floor.

A glazed door from the kitchen opens into a small porch with a tiled floor and two further double glazed French doors that lead out to the garden at the rear. There are three small terraces with stone steps connecting each one. A picnic bench on the second terrace overlooks the farmhouse opposite with glimpses of the sea through the trees and a small shed is located on the third tier. It is usually possible to park in the entrance to the by-lane directly outside the property although this is not private parking bay. Services to the property include mains water, electricity and drainage while there is also a BT line present.

Trewarmett is a pretty hamlet, situated only a couple of miles from the popular coastal town of Tintagel. Tintagel is famous for the legendary Knights of the Round Table and attracts thousands of tourists year after year. The property is within a short walk of Tintagel village where there are many shops, pubs and cafes, a primary school, church, doctors surgery, post office and small supermarket. The coastal path is close by and provides miles of fantastic walks and breathtaking scenery. It is but a 20 minute walk along the coastal path to the popular beach at Trebarwith Strand with its famous Port William pub and restaurant. The historic fishing village of Boscastle is only a few miles away also offering a wealth of amenities and the towns of Wadebridge, Camelford and Bude are within easy reach which offer a more comprehensive range of shopping facilities.

To find 1 Fern Cottages, follow the A39 from Wadebridge signposted to Bude. After approximately 7 miles turn left on to the B3267 and drive all the way through St Teath. At the t-junction, turn right onto the B3314 (coast road) signposted to Delabole. Drive through Delabole and continue along this road until you see a sign for Tintagel. Turn left here and join the B3263 and drive for approximately 2.5 miles towards Trewarmett.
