PROPERTY DESCRIPTION This beautiful property was lovingly built by the current owners back in 1997, when they bought the land where an old working stables once stood. It took about two years to actually build the property and much of the materials used were reclaimed, which gives the property lots of its character.
When approaching the property you are immediately greeted by double gates, which provides access to the block paved and gravelled driveway. There is ample parking on the driveway and also a car port for a generous size vehicle.
The property is accessed via a wooden stable door into the entrance hallway. The sitting room is a sizeable room with a feature wood-burner inset in a stone fireplace with Granite lintel. The room floods with light from the double glazed windows on both sides of the room. This leads into the garden room, glazed on three walls offering beautiful views over the garden. It's safe to say that the owner has spent many hours in this room admiring her garden from the comfort of her chair.
The kitchen/diner is another sizeable room, it has a central island with very deep cupboards and wall units. This is clearly the hub of the home and perfect for when all the family are home for those special occasions like Christmas. The fireplace is another fantastic feature in this room.
Even though the property is all on one level you get a feeling that your living and sleeping areas are very separate, as all the bedrooms are one end of the bungalow. The bedrooms are a good size (three doubles and one single) and the master bedroom has the benefit of an en-suite shower room and fitted wardrobes.
Outside, the property has a stable block, originally this was three stables, a tack room and toilet, but the owner converted two of the stables into a garage so he could work on his vintage car. This could easily be put back to three stables if you so wished as all that is needed is a block wall being built to make it safe for the horses. Another outbuilding on the land is a very good size games room. This does look like a stable block from the outside, but once you open the doors, you walk into a very good size room. There is also another generous room attached. The owners have often thought that this would lend itself to a family who wish to make this into a separate annexe or even a holiday cottage (with the relevant planning permission).
The gardens surrounding the property are well kept with many mature shrubs, fruit trees and bushes. There is a cobbled area in front of the bungalow and a lawned area to both sides.
The property is in a fantastic location, on the edge of Hemerdon village, and does offer beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The owner will miss the property but the time has come to now downsize.

AREA DESCRIPTION Hemerdon is a popular village on the outskirts of Plympton, it is a small community that centres around the Miners Arms Pub and Restaurant. Plympton (the nearest town) offers easy access to the A38 with its links to Bristol and London beyond. The town centre of Plympton has some large high street chains such as Boots and Peacocks as well as smaller independent boutiques offering all the day to day amenities you would expect with Tesco and Sainsbury just a short drive away.

There are two well known comprehensive schools as well as eight primary and junior schools, local swimming pool, fitness centre along with tennis, cricket and crown green bowling clubs, all within walking distance of the town centre.
