This property is offered at a reduced price for people aged over 60 through Homewise’s Home for Life Plan. Through the Home for Life Plan, anyone aged over sixty can purchase a lifetime lease on this property which discounts the price from its full market value. The size of the discount you are entitled to depends on your age, personal circumstances and property criteria and could be anywhere between 8.5% and 59% from the property’s full market value. The above price is for guidance only. It is based on our average discount and would be the estimated price payable by a 69-year-old single male. As such, the price you would pay could be higher or lower than this figure.

For more information or a personalised quote, just give us a call. Alternatively, if you are under 60 or would like to purchase this property without a Home for Life Plan at its full market price of £400,000, please contact Cubitt & West.

On the fringes of an incredibly popular and cosmopolitan village lies a character, detached home which has been greatly improved by the current owner and is definitely ready to move in to.

Throughout the ground floor you will be impressed with the flexible living space as well as the condition of both the kitchen area and bathroom.

A separate lounge area enjoys a pleasant outlook over the rear garden. The dining area can accommodate most dining tables and the outlook is similar to the outlook of the lounge area with sliding doors on to the garden. A storage cupboard will no doubt be of great aid too.

The re-fitted kitchen area will excite many and even if you are not the next Masterchef you will want to play host to guests as soon as you can. A utility area houses a new boiler as well as allowing the white goods to roar away on a 1600 spin without interrupting you.

A beautiful bathroom will see hours of time spent in here, so much so that wrinkly fingers and toes may be a common sight for all residents.

Three bedrooms span the first floor and the two larger bedrooms are well proportioned. The rear garden and off road parking for a few finish the billing.

Please refer to the footnote regarding the services and appliances.

What the Owner says:

I had been living in East Grinstead and compared to what I had seen in my budget this house was superior in many ways.

Since moving in I have re-fitted both the kitchen and the bathroom. I have also installed a new heating system, added wood flooring and redecorated throughout.

Since moving out I have rented the house out and that too has served me very well as it is such a popular area. It's great to walk down to the village and be able to buy anything from a pint of milk or just a pint!

It is also only a 10 minute walk from the house on to Ashdown Forest.
