Property Description

Full description

Do you fancy the 'Good Life', growing your own vegetables, keeping some animals perhaps? Take a look at this delightful home tucked away in a rural setting to the north of Berkeley along a 'no-through' country lane. In addition to the cottage garden there is a field and parking area, approaching one acre in total. Also outside is a wooden cabin, green-house and shed, plus an al-fresco pizza oven and barbecue area. Once inside we find well-presented character accommodation including a lounge/diner with wood-burning stove and wooden flooring, a playroom/study area to the side, a conservatory and a fitted kitchen. There are three bedrooms, two adjoining, plus separate bath and shower rooms. A great opportunity! (Please note: 'Promap' image for illustrative purposes only).

Situation
Wanswell is a hamlet approximately 2 miles north of Berkeley, situated to the west of the M5 and the A38, to the north of Bristol and to the south of Gloucester and Cheltenham. Berkeley Castle has been home to the Berkeley family for some 900 years, a popular and very interesting historical attraction. The town was also the home of Edward Jenner, pioneer of the smallpox vaccine. The Jenner Museum is a short walk from the High Street, past the brick cottage that Jenner gave to James Phipps, who as a boy was the first person to receive inoculation. A thriving small rural town, Berkeley has a variety of shops, a bank, building society, hotel, public houses and a primary school.
