Within walking distance of the town centre there are several parks, Farnham Park making up the grounds of the Castle and Gostrey Meadows, with sports facilities and playgrounds making them a popular choice with runners, families and dog walkers. Farnham also benefits from the nearby Frensham Ponds, Bourne Woods and Alice Holt forest. For other keen sports enthusiasts there is a central Leisure centre and recently developed David Lloyd gym situated on the outskirts of the town and next to Farnham Rugby Club.
It's fantastic road and rail networks made Farnham an early example of a commuter town, allowing life in the countryside while remaining accessible to London. With rail links to London Waterloo and access to the M3, M25 and A325 also known as the Blackwater Valley road, Farnham remains a popular choice with commuters and families.
