The Vendor's View - We bought the property off plan in 2010, and we were the first people to arrive. There are eight properties in this private estate and it is a very secluded place. We were looking for a house that would meet all of our needs which would have enough space for the family and also to be sociable. We wanted to be in Westgate because we have two young daughters, and needed to be in the catchments for, what we believe to be, two of the best primary schools in the area. This was perfect when we came across it. Its safe, its quiet and a perfect family home.
The lounge/diner is probably our favourite aspect of the property. Its a very large space with doors that go out into the garden. The hallway is a very good reception size, and the house has been designed so that you can open the doors right from the kitchen into the games room, through to the lounge/diner and into the garden etc. when you are entertaining. You can alternatively close the doors to have separate rooms, making the ground floor a very versatile space. The ground floor benefits from underfloor heating throughout, which is great when it's a bit chilly. The master bedroom is particularly spacious and it will be very difficult to find anything comparable.
For us the location is perfect. We really like Westgate it has all the shops and amenities that we need locally, and we have family nearby. The primary schools are literally a 1/4 of a mile away from the property, an easy walk and, of course, we have great access to the beach!
This has been a cracking family home for us, and we have thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Our young children have made the most of the garden, and weve had some lovely parties here. We will miss the fantastic and safe location, the kids learned to ride their bikes out in the private road, and its a nice family community here. As a growing family, we are now looking for a property with an additional bedroom, and finding somewhere to follow this great house will be very difficult!
