The Vendor's View - It was the location that led us to this house twenty years ago. We lived in Cliftonville at the time, but we were very involved in the St. Peters community due to our church commitment at St. Andrews Church. We had seen this house up for sale for a long time and eventually decided that this was where we'd like to be.
My favourite part of the property is the garden as my husband is a very keen gardener. It is a very beautiful place and its lovely to sit and listen to the birds singing. There are a lot of trees here, and we consider ourselves to be very lucky that we live in a place with no noise pollution from cars and busy roads.
I personally like my own space and for that reason I love the morning room. This property used to be a vicarage and this room was the vicars office. It's a calm and quiet room, where I enjoy listening to music and reading.
We really like the quiet village location, offering typical village living with a little shop and post office, excellent local schools and a good village pub; every year there is a village fete, which has a great sense of community. The position is semi-rural however, and within 10 minutes you can be in Westwood Cross, a large shopping and leisure centre. For us it is an ideal situation to be in a village setting, yet accessible to all the amenities you could ever need.
The beach is just a 8-10 minute walk from the house, and there is plenty to do in the local area. There are riding and even disabled riding facilities about a five minute walk away, a golf course that stretches out along the coast, and many water related activities. The area is really lovely for walking, and one of my favourite sights is the picturesque lighthouse nearby, it's completely beautiful here.
Having reached retirement age, we are now downsizing to a bungalow in the village as we can't imagine living anywhere else!
