The Vendor's View - From the front its a pretty bungalow with a keyhole porch and two unique rounded bay windows. The front door leading into a large hexagon shaped hallway with doors and a flight of stairs leading off. The original pitch pine Parquet flooring, with its variation of colour adds to the beauty; its unusual and covers the floors of all the downstairs rooms except from the kitchen.
Our country-style kitchen incorporates a breakfast room at one end which is usually where we have our meals and from there you can look out over the garden. We love the lounge with its multi-fuel stove which throws out 12KW of heat which is very cosy in the winter and in the summer with the French doors open to the conservatory, its wonderful.
The garden has a huge lawned area with shrubs and trees down both sides, and at the bottom there are two big Yew trees and beyond that is our large vegetable plot with fruit trees, raspberry canes, two sheds and a greenhouse, plus a larger shed at the side of the bungalow.
Weve had many parties here, hosting more than 100 people, where everybodys either out in the garden or in the conservatory enjoying themselves.
Well miss the space our bungalow offers. We have a sun room and a courtyard, so on nice days we can enjoy the sunshine and be protected from the wind. Its a lovely close-knit community here. Every morning we walk to Stone Bay then into Broadstairs for coffee.
Were going to stay in Broadstairs. Its a beautiful town and well never leave the sea as we love it. But now its time for us to downsize.
