The Vendor's View - The house is constructed on land adjoining Cardrona, one of the oldest dwellings on Minnis Lane. Cardrona was purchased at auction, featured on Homes Under the Hammer, for its development potential, and it has certainly fulfilled that!
The house is of a contemporary design with clean lines and spacious rooms ideal for family living that I am proud to have designed and built.
My favourite room is the semi-open plan kitchen/lounge on the ground floor to the rear of the house. It has double bi-fold doors, opening out onto an enclosed south facing patio, perfect for al fresco dining, BBQs and entertaining! River is easily the most desirable area in Dover. It has easy access to good schools and local shops, but Minnis Lane itself is quiet. I really like the fact that you can walk up the Lane to the ruined Abbey and in 5 minutes be in the open countryside of the Alkam Valley. This part of the Kent Downs, between Folkestone and Dover, is an area of outstanding natural beauty very popular for horse riding and hiking.
River has excellent road links to the A2 (M2) to Canterbury then London and M20 to Channel Tunnel and London. And, High Speed 1 (HS1) offers a fantastic fast train service which takes just an hour and 6 minutes to Kings Cross St Pancras, leaving every hour!
