Our Time Here -

The Vendor's View - We bought the property in 1998, as we were looking for a house suitable for a three-generation family. It was a combination of the accessible location, which is close to the seafront, and particularly the flexibility of the living accommodation which attracted us.
We have used the property in two parts, as a main house with an annexe, which is both integrated, yet separate with its own entrance. We really like the space that it has allowed us all as individuals during the time we have lived here. Both parts of the house have their own sitting room, which are wood-panelled, a feature I personally love.
Because there are a lot of generous sized rooms we have been able to use rooms for different purposes over the years, and the versatility of the living accommodation has meant that the house has adapted to our needs as our family has changed during that time. Its actually happened quite naturally without a lot of thought and to me, thats one of the aspects that makes this property the perfect family home.
The house is a stones throw from the seafront, and you can reach the main beach at Minnis Bay within minutes. Theres a very good range of shops on Station Road, which is the main street in Birchington, just a ten minute walk from the house. Closer still is a local corner shop along with a couple of nice cafes. The railway station is at the end of our road and from there you can catch the high speed train to London St Pancras or local rail services. The location is also convenient for Canterbury and the Westwood Cross shopping centre at Broadstairs.
The quietness and openness are real attractions for living here. Having lived in busy towns and cities, you become aware that the houses here are well spread out and have plenty of space around them. There is plenty of on road parking on the street for visitors, along with the space on the drive.
Were looking to relocate a bit further inland now, but will remember our time here as a family of three generations with great fondness.
