The Vendor's View - The single factor that drew me to the property was the beautiful location of St. Mildred's bay. I lived in Ramsgate at the time and I never really thought about living here until I came across this house. It was the position that sold it to me straight away and Im so glad it did.
The house has changed dramatically since I bought it. When I first moved in the house it needed a lot of work doing and I spent a number of years making some huge changes and completely refurbishing the house. About three years ago I put a large extension on the side of the house that features a big glass balcony that looks over the sea.
The views from the house are spectacular, particularly from the attic room, but also the master bedroom. This impressive room has a balcony and bi-fold doors that open right the way up. One of my favourite things to do is sit there and look out over the sea, it's really lovely and almost feels like you are on holiday! I am lucky to have really good neighbours, having lived here for so many years, we all get on very well.
I love absolutely everything about the location. The area is such a nice place to live with the green across the road, local tennis courts and the sandy, blue-flag beach is just a stones throw from the house. It's a very accessible situation, only five minutes from the little town, which has all different shops, a couple of restaurants and a delicatessen with a nearby supermarket. I have a dog so I walk her on the beach every day, and I just love the tranquillity of it all.
This would make a perfect family home; I cant think of a better place to grow up. I've loved my time here, it's the longest I've ever lived in one place. Sadly, I've come to the realisation that this place is a bit big for just me and the hound, so it's time for a change. I will certainly be staying in the area though.
