When I was looking to buy 17 years ago I looked at numerous houses but this one really stood out from the crowd. It was so much bigger, with great room sizes and high ceilings. I fell in love with it straight away. Over the years I have made lots of improvements, including installing new double glazing, knocking the kitchen and breakfast room into one large lovely space, replaced the boiler, refitted the bathroom and improved the garden. Although it was a large house already I also converted the cellar and carried out a loft extension with the en-suite to give even more room. It has been a great family home with all the space we could want and so convenient to all amenities. Now the kids are leaving home it is far too big for us so it is time to move on.
