SANDBACH The Sandbach Crosses are two 9th-century stone Anglo-Saxon crosses now erected in the market place in the town of Sandbach, Cheshire, England. They are unusually large and elaborate examples of the type and are recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and they are a scheduled monument.
Markets are held in Sandbach several times a week, since Queen Elizabeth I awarded a Royal Charter in 1579 for a market to be held in the town, and a fun fair in September.
Sandbach Town Hall hosts many events, including the Community Cinema and Ballroom Comedy Club. The Council also helps sponsor the annual Sandbach Transport Festival, events in Sandbach Park, the award winning Foden's Band, and Sandbach Concert Series.
Sandbach is a historic market town (see our Town Guide), noted for its Saxon Crosses in the cobbled Market Square, and historic buildings. It hosts several markets on Thursdays and Saturdays, and has a number of interesting specialist shops, and places to eat.

NANTWICH Nantwich is a charming market town set beside the River Weaver with a rich history, a wide range of over 250 speciality shops & 4 supermarkets. In Cheshire, Nantwich is second only to Chester in its wealth of historic buildings. The High Street has many of the town's finest buildings, including the Queen's Aide House and The Crown Hotel built in 1585. Four major motorways which cross Cheshire ensure fast access to the key commercial centres of Britain and are linked to Nantwich by the new A500 Link Road. Manchester Airport, one of Europe's busiest and fastest developing, is within a 45 minute drive of Nantwich. Frequent trains from Crewe railway station link Cheshire to London-Euston in only 1hr 30mins. Manchester and Liverpool offer alternative big city entertainment. Internationally famous football teams, theatres and concert halls are just some of the many attractions.

GENERAL REMARKS The intriguing property stands in approx 1.5 acres (boundaries to be identified & confirmed prior to sale).
The cottage itself we believe, in part, dates to circa 1810 with later additions but is in a state of disrepair currently. Subject to any planning consents etc, there may be the possibility of redeveloping the site.
