Full description

Bowerham. It seems everybody wants to live in Bowerham.

Bowerham School was the first school to be built in the Lancaster and Morecambe district by the Education Authority after the 1890 Education Act made education free for all children. The school was opened in May 1899 and was at that time called 'The Mixed Department of the Bowerham Board School' and was open by the Mayor of Lancaster. It continues to be highly sought after to this day.

The area boasts a wealth of other amenities including Spar Convenience store, local butcher, several pubs and regularly serviced public bus stops. It is also within walking distance to the University of Cumbria and Lancaster City centre. Overall, this is a very family-friendly part of the city.

This stone-built Victorian terrace home offers deceptively spacious accommodation. The ground floor has a generous lounge with a delightful open fireplace that serves as the central focal-point of the room. There is also a fitted kitchen, which is large enough to accompany a table and chairs.

The first floor has a sizeable double bedroom and the bathroom with three-piece suite. Finally, the second floor offers an impressive master bedroom with eaves storage space and breath-taking views over Morecambe Bay towards the Lake District from the rear elevation.

Externally, the house enjoys an enclosed rear garden with storage shed. This is a rare treat for Victorian terrace houses in Lancaster.

This property is sure to generate a vast amount of interest from first time buyers, young couples and commuting professionals. Call our office today on 01524 842222 to arrange your viewing.

What The Owner Says
This has been a wonderful first home! Over the years I have been here I have lovingly created a warm, cottage style home. Many people visiting for the first time remark on the restful, homely atmosphere as they come in with mellow pine woodwork add real character, and the beautiful Victorian fireplace is an original great for roaring fires in the winter! The sun streams into the sitting room and second bedroom as they are south east facing, and the decking in the rear garden is a sun trap in the afternoon. The garden is so pretty and private.

The really unexpected surprise to my lovely home is the space not just the rear garden, the house gets bigger the higher up you go! The bathroom is spacious and bright, and the 2nd floor master bedroom has had many Wow responses from visitors there is plenty of scope for easily converting this room into two.

I love looking out from the rear bedroom window to the stunning views across to the castle, over Morecambe Bay and onto the mountains of south Lakes. This home has so much to offer and I hope it will be loved and cared for as much as I have loved living here.
