Originally converted in the 1990s, this superb barn conversion has been updated by the current vendors to create a great family home. Acquiring an adjacent piece of land in 2010, it has been landscaped and incorporated into the grounds of the property.
The property enters into a spacious hallway with access to a ground floor cloakroom, airing cupboard and under stairs storage. The impressive open plan kitchen/ dining room has been renovated by the current owners to include a modern kitchen suite with gloss units, solid wood tops and glass splashbacks, there is a range cooker, integrated fridge/freezer and contemporary breakfast bar. The dining area has ample space for a dining table and chairs with French doors leading out onto a large area of decking perfect for alfresco dining. A spiral staircase leads to the basement.
The spacious dual aspect sitting room has exposed beams to ceiling and French doors leading onto the large area of decking. An inglenook fireplace with brick surround and slate hearth houses a wood burner and has feature stained glass windows behind. Completing the ground floor there is a utility room with butler sink inset in wooden work surface with space and plumbing for a washing machine and tumble dryer.
To the first floor there are four bedrooms. The master suite enjoys views over the front aspect towards Huntshaw and an en-suite shower room. Bedrooms two and three benefit from a 'Jack and Jill' bathroom. A further double to the rear of the property has Velux style window and built in wardrobes. Off the landing is a deep cupboard.
Beneath the property, accessed both externally and via the dining area, is a very useful basement having power, light and heating. Ideal for a variety of purposes.
The outside is an impressive space with a private sweeping driveway leading past the property to an Oak framed triple open garage with store/workshop to the end. To the front of the property is a level lawn with mature trees and hedge border which surrounds the boundary. The driveway continues around to the stables, each providing spacious accommodation with rubber matting. There are three stables and an adjoining tack room with power and light connected. An open fronted hay barn is a new addition (2009) and gives additional storage. To the rear of the stabling there is a covered wood store with water connected. To the rear of the stables, there is additional land purchased by the vendor in 2010, which has undergone extensive landscaping to create gardens and level grounds to include an expanse of concrete hardstanding which has access to a second entrance, ideal for horse boxes and trailers, and is surrounded by lawn and trees. This area would be suitable for an automatic horse walker/exerciser if required (subject to the necessary consents). There is also space to add additional stabling or leisure facilities (subject to any necessary consents).
Pathways have been created to lead to the field which has been split into three paddocks with timber fencing, inter connecting gates and water supply. To the top of the paddock there is an Olympic size all weather school 20m x 60m (65' x 196') with a surface suitable for jumping. There are tracks leading off the property, which make it an ideal location for riding.
