The soils, predominantly classified as Grade 3 by the 1:250,000 Series Agricultural Land Classification Maps, are of the Wick 2 Series characterised by deep, well drained coarse loamy strata suited to growing cereals, peas and beans, sugar beet, potatoes and field vegetables in rotation.

The field are generally regularly shaped and orientated being well suited to commercial farming practices which, in conjunction with the close access from the public highway and local transport network, mean the farm is particularly easily managed.

Abstraction Licence
