Our Time Here - One of the major advantages of living in this property has been its peaceful location, which is close to all the amenities. Our children attended the wonderful Callis Grange Infant School and St Peters Junior School, both within walking distance of our home and with excellent Ofsted reports. Nowadays, our son cycles to work and our daughter attends St Georges Secondary. Our daughter horse rides at the stables which is a pleasant walk away, while our son regularly runs down to the beach further on and along the clifftops. With the golf club, library, park, garden centre and numerous restaurants relatively close by, everybody's happy.
Over the years we have substantially renovated and extended our home and are very proud of what we have achieved. There are two front doors and two internal staircases which has a great practical advantage but also creating a karmic flow around the place. We have four large bedrooms which we designed so that they are separated by either bathroom or landing for added privacy.
The back of the house overlooks the whole garden and the multi-aspect windows mean that in daytime it is always bright and filled with natural light.
On top of being our perfect family retreat with a very homely and rested feel for day-to-day living it has also turned out to be extremely versatile, with an amazing capacity to expand into a brilliant entertaining space. We have hosted nearly all our extended family celebrations here over past years and in particular Christmas is always magical with a huge tree in the lounge area and everyone together. Recently we hosted a surprise 70th party and hired tables and chairs to seat 46 people indoors with ease. We have a cabin in the lovely garden with its own bar too which is removable for change of use!
The Paddocks has been our home for more than 14 years. We will certainly miss living here but feel sure that for potential occupiers new special memories await.
